I made a offer yesterday on a 2006 brand new Kountry Star. It's a 37 footer with 2 slides on a W-24 Workhorse chassis. I didn't see the MSRP on the unit. The only price was on paper with the dealer's logo on it. Originaly, the dealer was asking $174 000. But this week, he was on sale at $150 000. I offer him $75 000 plus my actuel MH, a 1997 MountainAire 3780 with a Banks system, Bilsteins, and air on the 3 axels. I've got 30 000 miles on it. I am wating for a answer from the dealer.
What do you think???
Is that a good offer???

Sylvain, welcome to iRV2.

Newmar includes a MSRP price sheet for all of their RVs.

To know if $150,000 is a good price, you need to see that Newmar MSRP sheet.

My gut feeling is $150,000 is too high for a 2006 gasser.

Your trade in will complicate the deal as far as the numbers go.

I agree with Route 66,$150,000.00 is way to high. Remember it is a 2006 also.

Rember This has been on a sales lot for over two years. It 3 model years old and has lot rot.

Tires will probably have to be repalaced very soon depending on the climate its' been in. Bet the batteries are shot also. In my experience they don't take very good care of them. I've seen several on dealers lots that have had to have the generator started to retract the slides.

Not having the MSRP available would be a red flag that something is not right with the numbers.
I don't think it's a good deal for you, it's great for the dealer.

Just ballpark numbers but I think you should get around 30 grand for yours. That means at 75 difference you are paying about 105K --- way too high for a 2006 KSCA when the 2008s are history and the 2009s will be out soon.

It's been over 5 days today that I made the offer, and so fair no news from the dealer. At least he should had called to inform us that he reject the offer. Anyway, I came to the conclusion, after seing the reply you all made and after seing on the net a 2007 Kountry Star, almost identical to the one a made a offer on, that I offerd him to much money.
Thank you all, for your comments.
Sylvain
