Just returned from a 1300 mile trip to Myrtle Beach, SC. Spent 9 days there. The trip was a total of 13 days.
Why is this so special?
NOTHING Broke!
The coach is 37 months old and has 43K miles on it. It has traveled in about 1/2 of the USA. Until this trip, something broke on each and every trip. Over the three year warranty, over 122 work items have been addressed. On our last warranty trip to Nappanee, things (TV, charger, etc.) were breaking as we sat at camp Newmar! I was waiting, with great apprehension, to see what would break on this trip. But, nothing broke. The closer we got to the stick house the more nervous I got. But nothing broke. Maybe, just maybe, this is an omen of things to come. I hope so.

I know just how you feel, but would never talk aloud about it. My wife is Italian, and believes when you talk about something good, it comes back at you. But, I'm happy for you.

Gary, I can report the same thing. The week our 3 year warranty expired in May we went to Newmar had had our final list of items repaired. Then we took off on a 7,500 mile trip than included the Alaska and Cassiar Highways. We had zero problems, not even a lose screw.
Our 2000 Dutch Star was the same way. After getting three years of warranty repairs we drove it another 2 1/2 years without any problems. Should have kept it.

Wished I could say that nothing broke. We headed out on May 18 and since then the converter quit- fixed it, then it quit again. Bought a new one ($325).
Have had on-going problems with the entry steps. Bought a new controller ($225) that did not fix the problem, then bought the motor and a new gear ($219)- that fixed it!
Now sitting near Bristol, TN, the light over the kitchen sink just quit working. Additionally, it appears that there is some kind of a small leak around the toilet.
Oh well...
Will be back in FL on Nov 1.

My 2004 DSDP that I have owned new since 3/04 is what I consider trouble free. I had the ATS switch stick when it was a month old. North Trail replaced it the same day was on my way in 2 hours. The A&E awning motor had to be replaced, a few months later. The only problem I have had, in the last 4 1/2 years was having to get the ball joints replaced under warranty, because the rubber boots were deteriorating.

Congrats Gary with all your Mods the coach must be confused.
We have been full timing in front of new stick house rebuild and our coach has been trouble free since July, all our Newmars have performed in like manner. Get all the bugs out in first year and your home free, just maintain her and she will serve you well.
