Some friends arrived back to RB from the Tampa show. They nearly bit the bullet on a conversion Prevost, even took one out on the road. Currently they have an older ForeTravel. But, interestingly enough, they said the best looking rig at the show was......., you guessed it, the London Aire by Newmar. It was the show stopper.

WOW!! I also heard a pretty good rumor that North Trail also sold a factory order London Aire...I'll be in and out of North Trail this week and will try and confirm that.
I also heard that North Trail sold EVERY Essex and as of Saturday night all but one '07 MADP.
Even one of our members got in the act with a factory order EXDP!!
(I'll let THEM post when they're ready...)

Perhaps a lot of folks wanted to buy before the new engines, and their new prices are only thing available.
But, new is nice.

My prognosis of a month or two ago comes true. I knew when you were in Napanee that a LA was in your future...Yes, I am just a tad jealous, but CONGRATULATIONS and many Safe and Happy Miles...You deserve it.

Bob, my friend, I'm glad the end of this journey is in sight. May the new one be to your liking.
I'll be visiting vicariously, and I'll have a Grey Goose in your honor.

Dirk, if you're one HALF as excited as I am to see the end of the aforementoned "journey", you'd be busting at the seams...
I'll give you a call when we raise our glasses and you can raise one as well...
CHEERS!!
Spoke to the satellite internet buddy of mine and we'll be having that reinstalled at North Trail before leaving on Friday.
It'll be a new system with speeds fast enough to support voice....

Or is it the Gray Ghost?

Now you've gone and done it...
Will we need a "name the LA" forum?
I was thinking Silver Streak or Silver Fox....

The pressure is on now to get the trailer configuration up to the standard of a London Aire owner. After helping you with the setup and tear down of the golf car, I was thinking, this is not the image a London Aire owner should be projecting, to the rest of us. The trailer was borderline for an Essex owner, but definately not for a London Aire owner.
An example of this is the crowd that gathered at Little Willies CG, right after you arrived. This was the biggest event to hit the CG in a decade. While you were registering, everyone wanted to know who was the owner, what is in the trailer. When I told them about the Hummer there were gasps. Then I told them about the golf car painted like the coach the gasps were so deep and long, I could hardly take a breath. All the air around me had been sucked into the black hole of the crowd's excitement.
A London Aire owner should not dissappoint the crowd. IMHO, it would not be appropriate for a London Aire owner to be assembling/disassembling the golf car when arriving or departing.
Lori has yet to settle in the new coach and trailer. I'm sure she will provide guidance on what needs to be carried. DW and DD may also need appropriate (female) CG travel transportation. There needs to be room for growth.
I predict a new, larger trailer to adequately accomodate the current Hummer and golf car configuration. And allow for growth.

I hear the piggy bank groaning!!
Seriously, as we talked about on Sunday,I am going to "investigate" getting a trailer with a reduced attic height to facilitate loading the cart WITH the roof on...

Will we need a "name the LA" forum?
QUOTE]
From the moment I saw a London Aire prototype in 2005 at the RVIA show in Louisville, I thought it looked like the front of a very sleek train. So I think it should be named the "Silver Train" especially as you are usually hauling a trailer.
