The dvd/cd player has died but audio still works...over 1 year so Newmar and Mito Newmar vendor won't replace/fix but it has 2 year warrenty..have e mailed/called Jamo and new owner Klipsch and real long hold or no reply..Anyone had to deal with any of this before and how did you get through? Course this also begs question where does Newmar get this stuff on a fire sale.

Did you try this link they have a forum on link maybe you can get some answers there.
Maybe there waiting for your warranty to run out the new year.
Cost of replacement maybe cheaper than repairing the player also check the interior for a loose plug for player.

you may be right on wait...but what is really upsetting is according to rep at Mito Newmar has a solution...I'm sure it involves buying a new replacement receiver. Thanks for forum link, will take a look at it.

You might as well just CHUCK it and buy a replacement. It's been discontinued anyway. Never was any good. Should be able to get one just as good for under $100. Kind of wonder why they would call the company JAMO. Which I think the name says it all.

I won't disagree with your sentiments but if you can find a unit for $100 that controls 4 tvs, 5 speakers and a sub woofer and has rca/co ax and some type of square component plug for all tvs/direct tv and vcr please point me there. This unit does a lot and short of totally re wiring my unit and finding space for the needed components I am stuck. But thanks for your help.

Here is the link to your Jamo. DMR 70 Electronics - Description
I don't see where it controls 4 TV's. You only have 1 HDMI out port. That sounds more like your main control/switcher box you describe.
The Jamo is also a 720P up-converter. You can get straight 1080P that also up-converts now. I have found that it is not worth repairing electronics in this price range. It's more than $100 to put it on a tech's desk.
I put an LG 1100 watt 5.1 surround system in my RV. It was $299 Canadian and works excellent.

Thank you for a helpful post. My comments are based on looking at Jamo web site and also talking to Mito, original wholesaler, whose rep felt it would need full component replacement with resulting increase in space requirements. My understanding from Newmar is that switching box and various components can be controled from each TV. Perhaps my understanding is incorrect. But I do know difference of the 2 units but do understand the need to clarify.

Being cheap and feeling a warranty should be honored I finally got to talk to a person at Jamo/Klipsch, new owner of Jamo. They said that since Newmar isn't a "dealer" that warranty started at date of manufacture of DVD not date of purchase of MH. Interesting concept Ah the joy of motorhomes..

After all that ,I'd pull it out and have the wife throw it up in the air and I'd shoot holes in it. Then mail it back to Newmar. I have a set of Klipsch RF7's in the basement I paid 4 grand for and since it came from a warehouse in Las Vegas, they wouldn't honor the warranty. Brand new in the box but because I bought it from the wholesaler, no warranty. Yea, I'll do buisness with them again NOT

I've never been a fan of Klipsch. Personally I find their sound very canned or tinny. That's just my take.
