Hi! Well here we are. We hit the warm weather and my fan motor fuse is blown again! I had to drive all of Florida at 65 mph to keep from overheating. This is among other problems that I will post seperate. The tech came today to look at our issues, waited all day for Spartan to call him (at Carl's request). They called at 4:30 and said I can't help right now all the techs went home. So we get shoved off to another day. we checked the wire to the fan motor and it looks good. Help! Paul

Paul, I'm no sure who is talking to, or telling you they're talking to Spartan, but I spoke to Chris Friar TWICE myself today...

Chris Friar is the Spartan rep that sits in the same office with Carl Snyder of Newmar...

CALL ME TOMORROW!!

Hi Bob! I know. Thanks for the help. Carl asked the tech if Spartan called back and he said no. Thats what the 4:30 call was about. Newamr makes a great product. It is to bad that Spartan is screwing things up for them (belt issues, etc.) Highline needs to learn to say: sorry we dropped the ball on that design and will slove it, instead of giving BS. Thanks for the help I will call tomorrow. Paul

Hi! Maybe Peter or someone can explain it better than me. It is belt driven, but is supposed to come on electrically around 215 degrees. With the fuse blown it will not come on and the engine runs to hot and the alarms go off. Paul

Than I would guess they should find out why the darn fuse keeps blowing.

How about because the clutch is drawing too much current ? I'd run check on clutch to see if it has a short and what its current draw is agianst the fuse size as starters. This sure doesn't seem like any sort of special problem requiring experts. A good first class electrical technician should be able to trouble shoot this is a relatively short time IMO.

Now see, there ya go Paul, at least its a start from a man thats in the know. Maybe they should have heavier wire with larger fuse to keep the fan ingaged.

Hi! Thankyou everyone for the input. The RV Tech will be back tomorrow with a schematic supplied by Spartan to check the circuit. I will pass along this info to him. Thanks, Paul
