Just noticed something

For all those who asked about the entry light switch turning on and off all the lights, I just noticed the markings on the switch panel that show small on and off symbols. Never saw them before!

Good find! I think DS Don has a thread with things you didn’t know, might want to post this on that thread.

you know how the cockpit lights come on and off every time you unlock or open the door ? i want to shut those off....so they don't come on....

i imagine that option is some setting on this switch....

my coach is in indiana, and i'm in ct, so i can't test it...

anyone in their coach tonight ?

Yeah, got the symbols, but a variety of attempts has not resulted in any action. How do you get these to work?

There is a small KIB switch box under the dash that you have to add a switch to, to turn off the lights when you enter the coach. I did it on my 2014. I used one of the blanks in the dash to add the switch.

Somewhere I think I have the wiring schematic, hand drawn, that shows how to do it. Pretty simple. Someone asked about this a couple of weeks ago and I found part of a thread that showed the KIB box, but not the schematic. Maybe someone on here will remember or have the schematic. All my stuff is all over the place since I emptied out my coach.

Okay....I found the post on the overhead lights and it just so happens, "lostinfla", the OP of this post has the diagram. It doesn't show up in the thread anymore, that I'm attaching.

Note to Newmar, please add this feature to the bedroom overhead panel.
Wish someone with good software knowledge (not me) would hack the KIB system like they did with Tiffin.

I’m sort of working it. I’ve been developing an app that allows me to control many of the RV-C system from my phone or computer. It’s coming alone quite nicely. I’ve reached out to KIB hoping to get help interfacing to their system. No response. In the meantime, based on my research, it looks like they are using J1850 Variable Pulse Width (VPW) modulation for the single wire V-BUS. I’ve found some chips online, but haven’t gotten around to ordering any yet. Been busy working the RV-C stuff. If anyone else has technical information on interfacing with the KIB system, I’m all ears.

I may just pickup this torch. You have already completed my first assignment, which is to determine what interface they are on. I was going to open up a few boxes if theirs, but found they like to use the superglue resin to protect the equipment.

Simultaneously press the left middle and bottom. This turns all off.

Left top and left middle turn all on.

Not sure if it would help your cause but I have a v-bus for security lights that shorted out I could send for your research. Maybe others could donate other replaced parts.
