Steve, I was really interested in the V6 diesel. I was watching and researching it since it was announced several years ago. We had to hastily buy a vehicle for the wife, and to tow behind the MA. I sold my duelly work truck and took her F250 as a work truck. I did manage to talk my cousin into buying one, and he loves it. Do you have the air ride suspension? His truck rides like a luxury car with the air suspension. I was wondering the pros and cons with it for flat towing.

Grrrr Scotty you hit a sore point! I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE AIR RIDE! We bought it off the lot and it was not equipped with air ride and of course it cannot be retrofitted. I believe PDRJohn has it in his jeep and loves it. I have a couple of friends with it in their RAMs and love it as well.

Do you tow anything with it? Like a boat or trailer? Does it have enough power?

Very nice. I want a 50" RZR really bad. I was told that it has to be able to carry the two airedales, so that pretty much rules out the RZR. Probably have to resort to a lifted golf cart. The lift kit is not so much for off road use as it is for my dignity.

We have the Grand Cherokee with diesel and air ride, love it. Ours is a 2014 with 30,000 miles.

We forget how nice it rides till we have to drive a customers car, then we remember why we like it so much.

I've been in the Ram trucks with the air suspension, they ride great too.

No Cajun we do not haul anything with it, but I don't think there would be any issue as long as weight issues were considered. The truck has good power and the transmission is geared for good well.

It has up to 8600 lb towing capacity. I know there are many 1/2 tons out there with more, but do they really need to be towing more than that with a 1/2 ton.

Thank you all so much! Car and truck show coming up in early November. Its starting to look like a GMC sierra 4x4, Dodge diesel 4x4 or Ford F150 4x4. Thanks again for all the replies! We shall see! (The Raptor and the Denali are too much truck for me.. Ok I admit it....) I'm man enough to drive a regular truck! Lol!

Make certain you can tow that weight. Some of your choices will be near 6,000 pounds if any extra stuff is packed into them.

FMCA publishes a pretty comprehensive list of vehicles that can be towed with no modifications. Send me a PM and I can email the years that interest you.
