All the members that are getting, or have got, new big rigs. DADP, MADP, EXDP and KGDB, '08/'09, wow. It's pretty hard to keep up with the Jones's around here!

Well Newmar has changed the roof mount Hadley horns to a new location on some of these new rigs. That location is within the front generator slide. Maybe now, being closer to the roadway, four wheeler's will hear them. Though it wasn't done for that, I believe just for a cleaner look.

Well, the rigs are getting so tall now, I doubt many folks can even see the roof mounts.

Anyway, not to be out done, I made a better mouse trap. I had posted before on this, but not in detail and, of course without photos. So, here's what I was talking about. REAL HORNS

I would love to install the train horns, but my wife would divorce me if I did. Hey, how about a short video with the horns blasting- that's as close as I'll get to the horns.

Sue (saydiver) told me I can't get those horns, before I even had a chance to ask.

Sheese, it sure is all about keeping up with the irv2's. So, lug installs a triple train horn assembly and immediately horn envy sets in. Of course, I had to one up him with a quad train horn setup. Sorry Peter....

Wow! Jeff, you rascal. You one upped me! Oh well, the dog and Cherrie won't let me use them anyway. Did you hook them up such that you can turn them off from the cockpit?

We'll have to meet out on a deserted desert area and have a blow-off. Similar to a bake off but much more vocal.
Good going RVDude!

Hi Peter - I installed the 3-set per your instructions (thank you, thank you, thank you) but made 1 mod. I left the car-type horns connected as the default - ALA Newmar, and hooked the train horns up along with the Hadley's.

Now when I light them all off, you can't even hear the Hadley's! What a blast (pun intended).

Just leaving Camp Newmar & the service techs LOVED them - my lead would blow them inside the repair building every day

Hey Mark, That's great! I'll bet it really makes a noise inside a building. They put out about 152 decibels and that's alot when you think of a jet engine at about 120.

Not really. Unlike Peter, I use my brakes more than the horn.

Actually, I've been considering train horns for the rig, but I do have a new set of Grover truck air horns for my Yukon that I will be installing.

May we hope for photos & a 'blast' report?
