Key gets stuck in 2004 dutch star door

Hello

recently my door key ( dead bolt) has been stuck in the cylinder. Eventually I worked it out. I had used graphite and lubed the lock but the last time it was stuck and more difficult to work it out. I guess I need to replace the lock or can I replace just the cylinder..if so what do I buy? and hopefully it is easy to replace...Any input always appreciated...Thank you

Graphite won't dissolve or loosen gunk.Works great on clean parts. Put the straw on a can of WD type spray . give good dose let soak. Work the key a bunch to break up gunk repeat spray to fluch.Kroil is best or PB Blaster.

Oh man, please don't spray WD-40 into a lock! It will free things up in the short term, but then just gum things up in the future. WD-40 is NOT a lubricant or cleaner. It's a rust-inhibitor.

Graphite is the preferred dry lock lubricant. But you can also buy liquid spray graphite. Basically it's powdered graphite mixed in with a solvent that completely evaporates -- leaving just graphite.

If you have "gunk" in your lock, the spray graphite might do the trick for you.
