keyless dead bolt

I have a 01 dutch star is it possible to change to a keyless dead bolt with keay pad? if so where is the best place to buy?

Hi Dutchie01 &

We're glad you found us!

I don't know of any way of making the deadbolt operate with a keypad. It is strictly mechanical, and of course the keyless entry is electrical.

So, to make that work you would need a power supply & a motor (and place to put it inside the door). I've had my door apart & there really isn't much room left over in there.

PS - consider making up a signature block like some of those you see in the forums so that we know what your coach, tow etc is. Saves time & questions.

There are lots of battery-operated deadbolts for residential installations. The deadbolt in our coach appears to be a standard one so I assume one of these can be made to work:

can't use a house dead bolt its very different. mine is a 2001 dutch star
