Keyless Entry & Bay door locks

we just did a 5K shakedown trip with our new 2016 DS 4018. In the middle of the country at 70 MPH our door lock began clicking very fast. The door lock mechanism was locking and unlocking furiously as if it was shorting out. We pulled over and called Newmar. While pulled over we found the bay door locks doing the same thing. Newmar promptly told us where the fuse was and we pulled it. We were told not to put it back until we get it serviced. Unfortunately since we were on our way to a wedding and on a tight schedule we could not stop for repairs that were not critical.

We are back home in AZ now and will schedule repairs, but I'm curious what this issue might be. The only way to lock the doors & bays now is with the key. We are quickly learning which key fits what doors. Since we are full timers, we try to minimize our time in the shop. I hate to take it in to be diagnosed only to be told they have to order parts, then we take it in again for repairs.

This is a common issue it also happened with our coach at the six month old mark. I told service ahead of time what the issue was and they acted like this was something they were quite familiar with. Maybe someone else can add exactly what the issue was and why it happened. But I did go several months using only a key to lock/unlock and my back was worse for it.
