King Bed Conversion

We are considering a new coach that has a King bed. We really don't like Kings. Is it possible and not too difficult or expensive to convert it to a Queen?

I have the same thing on my mind, In my case it is easy, just cut the
"platform" smaller by about 3" on each side, but leave it as is near the
headboard. Use some fill-in pillows for that section and get a Queen
mattress 60 x 80 with round front corners.
This should give you an extra 3" on each side and it would making the bed
easy-er. My DW would like that also, it is in the works.
Just lift up the bed and take a look if this would work for you.

I've heard of someone doing that. They just replaced the mattress and then cut the plywood base to fit. You could either stuff some fabric covered foam between the mattress and the sides of the slide or build a little night stand to fill the space.

I looked around and knightstorm replaced his king with a queen. You might want to PM him.
