I had the leveling jacks down and air bags deflated when I did mine. You don't need to jack up the front end. They do compress fairly easy, I had to air up a little to get the Koni's in because the studs on the ends seem a little longer.

The hardest part was breaking the top nuts loose, no room on top for an impact wrench so I used a cheater bar with a 1/2 inch drive ratchet and a 15/16 or 24mm socket. you may need to use a wide mouth vice grips like these....https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to hold the top of the shock from turning. Other then that it was pretty easy.

Very easy to compress or expand. Once you get the original nuts loose its very easy. I used a cordless impact with a swivel joint to remove them.

I bought a used IR 1/2" air impact wrench at a pawn shop for $40 and used a swivel extension to get around the obstructions. I first put a big timber under the front suspension cross member for safety. When one of the nuts didn't come right off, I soaked it in PB Blaster and took a break, then it came right off. Easy to install new shocks after removing the old ones. HUGE difference with the new shocks, I wish I had not waited as long.

I've joined the ranks of Koni installers and as everyone here has mentioned it was not a huge deal with the exception of the stones I had to crawl around on while under the coach I hope they live up to the hype but then again compared to the Sachs, just about anything will be an improvement.

Kpecks,
I am interested to find out if these shocks get shipped to you in a timely manner. Every supplier I have talked to show the Freightliner Koni EVO shocks to be on back order till first part of December.

I called them and they are on back order until mid or late December. Apparently Koni runs their shocks in batches. When I called Koni that is what they told me. Their next run will make the next “batch “ available mid December. I ended up ordering from Shockwarehouse. $381 delivered after their $10. off USA coupon code. They gave me a firm 12-14 ship date which is only good as Koni’s production run.

Me too. The salesman on the phone was 100% certain they were in stock as their warehouse had just received a shipment, allegedly. Will update as needed.

I’ve had similar experience with them before. I have an inquiry w Sdtrucksprings.com. They have been super responsive and are getting me a definitive shipping date. Good luck with shock warehouse.

I have Koni's all around on my 2016 24 foot Class C, and it made a huge difference.
I don't know if their Evo's or not, but they were almost $800.00 installed. I love em !
