Koni Evos

Just returned from our Freightliner Gaffney trip to get the coach serviced after installing the Koni's on the front, about 2 k miles,.....WOW am I impressed! I found myself bracing for impact when being surprised by potholes on the interstate only to be pleasantly surprised by the seemingly cloud like float over them. Absolutely a must mod IMHO! Thinking about installing them on the rear also.

I'll spend some time tomorrow to verify the 2019 shock on the DS is the same as the 2018 and then get the part number for the Evo's and order the fronts for my new coach.

Yep, the EVO's made a big difference in my present rig, but I still think they're a little soft for my 20,000# front axle even with only about 18,000 on it.

For us Ventana owners, precession engineering sells a turned bilstien shock that makes handling/ride comfort much better. Will likely have them put another set on my 2019 after we pick it up.

"Mr_D".....That's one of my questions for Koni…..the new coach has a 17K axle.

Don,
I just installed the koni's on mine and the one's I got are in this link https://www.ultrarvproducts.com/Koni...Chassis-ZF-IFS . I would think these will fit your 2019 too, unless then changed the front suspension but I don't think so. The ad says up to 2016 but they told me it would fit the 2017 and they do.

Easy install once you break the nuts loose. Looking foward to test driving it later this month

My rig has a Reyco-Granning front axle. What does the new DSDP have? Could be a big difference in leverage due to the design differences.

Another happy Koni EVO user here. Huge difference over the old Bilsteins on our coach.

"RJ51"......Thanks....I'm guessing they've been the same since 2014, but my luck, they changed the mount in 2019. I'll check with Freightliner tomorrow, to see if it calls for the same shock. Very expensive send the wrong shocks back.

Koni Evos

Anyone have part numbers for a 2018 Dutch star on a K2 Spartan chassis? Also, I’ve got a Call in to http://www.kingshocks.com to see if they could make a set of shocks. King’s are the best in the shock business...

The Spartan uses the 99B-3234. I have them installed and they are a great improvement over the stock shocks.

Ok so they did change something, curious to see what the new mount looks like. Hopefully they have the right ones for you.

"RJ51"......A misunderstanding.....I said, "my luck, they changed the mount in 2019", I was being facetious…..I want to double check to make sure it didn't change.

Has anyone here put them on the rear yet? Don't know if it will make much of a difference there.
