Kountry Star Shocks

I have a 2003 Gas Kountry Star model 3651. I know I have the workhorse chassis but I am not familiar with which one I have. I am wanting to change the shocks because on some roads it rides very rough. Any suggestions on how to tell what chassis I have and what shocks will fit?
Thanks!

Most likely a W-22 like mine and I changed mine back in 2004 to Blistiens because of purposing of the front end.

Brochure ----- Owners Guide

Below in my signature are links to many more for your coach.

Thanks for the info 007. What do you know about the Koni shocks? I have been reading some good reviews on them.

Most likely the W-22 chassis and here is where to get your Workhorse parts.
They are more expensive not sure they would give a better ride on WH you can compare pricing on link.

I got Koni's from UltraRV and replaced the front shocks on mine. Not hard DIY and the result was noticeable.

I have a 2005 Kountry Star gas and it rides rough also. There was a test done between the Koni and newer design Bilstein's Comfitrac shocks and they selected the Bilstein's. I would be very interested in what happens after you install new shocks, whatever brand.

If the sixth vin character is a "6", then you have a W-22 chassis, unless the wall placard says the GVWR is 20,700 lbs which makes it a W-20. The tenth vin character is the model year. Yours should be either a "2" or a "3".

Armed with the year and chassis model info, you "should" be able to find the correct shocks from either Koni "FSD" or Bilstein.

I ordered 4 Bilstein Heavy Duty shocks. They were under $400. Will post results after they are installed. Thanks for all the help.

There was a recent thread on installation torque values that can be found here.
