Our '06 Kountry Star has the theater seating option....just wondering if anyone else out there has re-configured the seating arrangement? I like everything else about this coach but this seating. I just don't find it comfortable and wondered if it would be better if it was changed around somehow.

Hi Angela1,
I am interested for you to continue to post how you progress on this topic.

In about 4 years we should be done showing the Gkids the USA. At that time I will be in the same situation you are in now. We do not have theater seating. I will be wanting to either purchase a new coach or completely reconstruct the interior to suit our "empty nest" RVing environment. My current interior is not what I want for just one or two people.

Please keep us informed.

I am not sure if you are wanting to keep your theater layout, or try something new, but here I what I did to my folk MADP

I removed both couches and created this in its place. The theater chairs are electrically powered, and supremely comfortable (even for those 6ft+). On the opposite side I created (with help from a custom cabinet shop) a buffet that hides a linear actuator LCD TV lift (40in), a bar, and a fireplace.

CM,
I've had the same seating installled that you have. Even appears to be the same color! However I have them on the PS. I agree that they are extremely comfortable. The only problem I've encountered is that when boon docking I've got to do a work-around as the inverter does not power the outlet the chairs plug into.

Jeff,

When I had the theater chairs built, I had them spec out the same material used on the factory couches (Villa ultra "pleather" )

The only problem I have had is two failed power bricks. The first set was extremely sensitive to MSW inverter power. I have since replaced inverter with a pure sine wave version, and have had zero problems.

The only maintenance needed is a twice yearly squirt of silicon lubricant in the track/joints.

Just an FYI for boondocking the standard power bricks draw a surprising amount of power even at idle.

Thanks so much for the pictures of your seating arrangement. Love your fireplace. Our layout is quite different than yours and although the recliners are comfy the loveseat in between them is not and is not large enough to sleep anyone but a child. Our flatscreen tv is opposite above the dinette. I was thinking of moving the recliners next to the loveseat and the storage consoles to the outsides. The only problem with that is that the windows were designed for the current arrangemnt....
