After four years of Winnebago ownership, when we looked at a new coach we opted for a Newmar product believing that the quality was at least on a level with Winnies at a little less money. We have now benefited from our decision with an issue that was resolved today and one which I seriously doubt Winnie would have done.

When we ordered our coach, we were under the assumption we were getting a 3 burner range since all literature we had and the web site indicated that was standard. To our dismay, when the coach came in it had a 2 burner since Newmar apparantly had made a change for the 2010 model and we had been looking at 09 literature. My DW is the type who likes to cook whether at home or in a CG and the loss of a burner was a real issue.

Well, long story short - Newmar today advised they are sending us a 3 burner to replace the 2 burner and our dealer has agreed to install it at no cost.

It is rare to find an OEM this accommodating especially in this economy! It sure reaffirms our decision to purchase a Newmar product!

Glad your wife will be happy always did appreciate a good cook. Did notice that change for 2010's
Wondering how the install will be accomplished, is the new one a flush mount as the two burner is?

007 - It is a combination stove/oven and since both units are Atwood, I'm told it's an easy switch. Both fit the same cabinet opening. Will let you know for sure on the 12'th.

Newmar says they changed because of customer preference but they sure didn't ask us.

The upgrade to our current coach couldn't be more satisfying. It's still been hard to wipe the off my face. They build one heck of a product. I would recommend Newmar to anyone that was looking.

Specials are their speciality! We had over 60 specials when we ordered ours(one was a two burner cooktop in lieu of the three-gained more counter space).

Dave, we had a similar great experience. All the literature we looked at said the optional sofa bed we ordered would have an air mattress which we believed would be much better than your ordinary hide a bed mattress.

Well, when we received the coach it did not have the air mattress As in your case, the next model year didn't come with the air mattress, our coach was built in February when they were gearing up for the 2009 model year.

Our salesman (great guy, now retired) worked with Dave Garl (Newmar rep) and another dealer (Howard RV, another great dealer to work with) and installed the replacement with the air mattress, all at no charge

Newmar could have hidden behind the 'specifications can change at any time' legalese in their brochures but they didn't. As we expected, the air mattress is much more comfortable. We couldn't be happier

UPDATE: Just returned home from dealer with new 3-burner stove installed. Supposed to get it 3 weeks ago per prior posts but snafu developed when they shipped cook-top only on first go-round. Thanks to Brian Fuchs, Newmar Owner Relations, a new range w/oven was ordered and shipped to the dealer last week. Brian and Dave Garl @ Newmar have been super thru the entire process and I can't thank them enough. Sure makes living with the DW a whole lot easier. Again, I do not believe another mfg. would have been so accommodating.

We now have everything the way we want it - Time to do some serious traveling !!!

Those above comments about Newmar is why many of us Newmar owners try to make appointments at the factory for service each year.
To those non-Newmar owners who are without a factory and now use Newmar factory service let the rest of us know if you are happy with the service at the Newmar factory.
