Ladder Replacement

I wonder if anyone out there has been through the throes of replacing a ladder on their coach. My 2004 KSDP 's ladder got bonked - not by me, remarkably - and I want to replace it. Newmar wants about $500 with shipping for a replacement; which kinda alters my normally cheery disposition. The "universal" aftermarket ladders all seem too short; or would require some degree of new bracket placement - which worries me a bit. I should think that it would require internal backing plates. Any advice/direction would be very much appreciated. Thanks. Jim

Any new ladder would have to mount with mounts in same position as old one.
There are wood blocks mounted in fiberglass end cap.
Check this link out there are some listed here.

Exactly!
On our DSDP you can "see" the blocks when the dust settles on the back cap. They seem to get a heavier coating of dust and really stand out.
