Lazy Days Rv in Tucson for service

Could any of you folks give me your recommendation for RV work in Tucson. I need the following items repaired or adjusted. The sound system, leak in the rear HWH cylinder repaired and possibly the slides checked for adjustment. Any questions I should be asking before I let them service my rig? I was thinking about using LAzy Days RV in Tucson, Az near Camping World. Your help is appreciated.

Here is a list of Newmar dealers in your area, I would have a Newmar dealer adjust my slides if need be or any other work for that matter.

Do not have a Lazy Days opinion but service manager/rep Dave Adams across the Street at La Mesa RV is very good. I have had good experience with him when I owned a Tiffin Phaeton. Hope this helps........although Lazy Days would be really convenient if you are staying at their RV park site....which, we think is a really good one. La Mesa RV will try to tell you to stay at Voyager......towards the East end of Tucson off I-10....but Voyager (althought nice) is very tight and they STUFF people in there like sardines........not all that pleasant. Good Luck to you.......

Thanks for your replies does anyone else have any comments about the service department at Freedon RV in Tucson? It appears they are a Newmar service authorized center.

I have tried most of the RV service places in the Tucson area as well as the Phoenix area, and the only place I've returned to is LaMesa RV in Tucson. They are right across the street from Lazy Days. Ask for Joseph (Service Advisor) to assist you. He is very knowledgeable and gets things done. I could give you a list of what's wrong with the other dealers, but you don't need that!

soricobob, have you ever tried Massey's Diesel & RV Repair

If I ever have any major problems, I'm thinking of taking mine there instead of Sun City RV where I bought it.

While we were in Tucson this past winter, Camping World ran a sale on a commode we have been interested in. We went over there, paid for the commode, and they had a "special" for installing it for $ 69.00. Knowing that they were going to need to re-route the waterline, I discussed it with CW. "No Problem!".

Tey sent me next door to Lazy Days for the install. About 20 minutes from the time the rig should be ready, they called and said there was a terrible problem! The commode ring was rusted and they were going to have to re-route the water line, and it was going to cost $ 650.00!

I told them to box up the toilet, put the old toilet back on, and that I would be right back there to pick it up.

After waiting 45 minutes, I got my rig. I checked it out and they had failed to hook the water line back up. After they hooked the waterline back up, I took it back to where we were staying near Casa Grande, called a local Mobile service who came and installed it for $ 75.00.

I don't know exactly what CWs deal is with LD, I just know that I really, really felt like it was a "bait and switch" deal and I don't want anything else to do with either one of them.

Re freedom rv

I bought my Dutch star from them. Everything they touched had to be done twice....and the slide repair had to be done over by the Newmar factory. Nice guys and all that.....just poor results. Now that I am off warranty...they will never see me again.

Yes, Massey's is excellent for Cummins, but not too good on the coach!

Does that mean if it is a V10 RV, they don't do as good of work?
