We have a new member from Australia that is having problems with leaking slide locks that we had a link to in Quick Tips but was lost when we switched over to new software.
I do not recall what the answer was so I'm looking for help to help this member.
Rebels Beach was one that had the problem but I know of others that did too.
You can start a new thread and I can place in Quick Tips or if you can just place in a new thread in Quick Tips.
Thanks for your help, 007

This member's profile indicates he has a Jayco Seneca.

I moved his post to the MH Problems forum.

The leaking slide locks were on the Newmar forum thats how he was steered here off the Internet.
The old link on search keeps running to this link of 1115 posts & 80 pages but could not find any info.
Will just let things set maybe someone will come up with answer and we can give them a prize.

007,
thanks for looking in to.
I am interested in learning about this, I am already dreading my trip to the dealer we have very bad service around here.
Ah, also, despite the name, I am in NC not in Australia, but that is cool anyhow.
So again, if anyone has any information that would be great, I looked again on the slide and there is no plug or drain pipe or anything, I call Jayco and so far no response. I will have to resort to the dealer.
thanks again
Mo

Thinking about it not sure, the lock was removed and sealant applied around back side of lock than reset back in wall mounting.
I have never worked on them but have seen them from ground level.
Water was getting into lock mechanism and rusting control points for latch. Also leaking into cabinets below the lock.

I'm one of the people who had leaking slide locks, but mine was very simple.

When the front passenger slide deployed, the slide lock would open at the end of the cycle. The motor home was new to us, and I didn't realize it had opened when the slide went out. If it is open and outside, rain gets in. I had it fixed at the dealer.

Since then, it has happened twice on a second slide, but now I know to listen for the locks opening when the slide has completed its outward movement. If it opens, I just depress the switch for a few seconds until the slide lock closes, then release the switch so that the slide stays out.

Hope this helps.
