Rick, Yes it is over and above, except it is really part of the ownership rather than driver's license. It is for the 45' coach only. You can add (tow) about 25' I believe, and still be legal, 70' over all.
Interestingly, the MOT link that I was referred to, stated all the reg,'s including the 24.6k maximum for a normal license. It also stated this includes the towed weight in this figure. I feel there are about half or better, the people that are driving illegal in Ontario. And the insurance company will say nothing, but bailout in the case of a serious accident.

I forgot to add the first part of the Abe Simpson quote:

"The Metric system is the tool of the devil!!"

One year I'd like to tow my Road Runner to Moparfest in New Hamburg, Ontario. This year it's 8/16-8/17.

My Ventana is 39.5' and my trailer is 22'. Will I require anything special?

They recommend Country Gardens RV Park Limited in Petersburg, Ontario for people bringing RVs to the show.

Lug Nut, I can't find the link to apply online for the overlength permit. Have you got the URL?

ERG Richard, Welcome to the forum. I'm looking for the on-line form, but here is the link to the St. Catharines office that handles the permits. HERE

If you just want the info for the permit, you can get an email and physical address (St. Catherines as mentioned) here:
