When I asked a couple weeks ago about this unit that I was interested in there was not many answers, in fact there was none. CW had it on sale for $599 which I thought was a good price.
I have friends with other type units that went for alot more.
While I had this interest I get a e-mail from CW for a weekend only price for $549 and $1 shipping since I got no answers to my question I went and sent for it,what the heck.

When you register your unit you get their web-site and you have access to a owners manual and other items that you can order like exterior ant, sticky mounting plates, manual for download etc, etc.
You receive unit with software drivers to download into unit, a suction cup bracket for mounting to windshield or sticky disk for mounting on dash. I tried to mount on my face of dash but its face is to porous for cup to hold, I used the sticky disk on top of dash just in front of steering wheel, perfect spot.

The unit snaps on mount which has 12 volt cord for power to 12v outlet. There is a stand alone battery in unit that will work for 8 hrs. You can set up trip routes while having a beer on lounge chair outside.

We went camping this weekend and I placed trip info into unit it was only 10 miles but a good test. You can put destination in favorites on any trip you have planned for the summer. Trip to TENN, Cape May, 1000 Islands and program your home location to find your way home from all your destinations.
Campgrounds are listed which surprised me all restaurants, hospitals, places of interests, fuel, you name it its in this little c330 unit.
So I picked the CG go screen comes up and you press go and you have a voice telling you where to go, when to turn, distance to turn and a map with arrow following road as you move. Also has display to tell time of arrival, miles and speed you were traveling.

The 10 mile trip went without a problem, so I said what if I took a wrong turn ok lets give it a try, hit destination to home told me I was to bear right after going over bridge instead of continueing on a highway route. I stayed on highway and went under bridge that my turn was to have been made, crossing over highway I was on. As soon as I crossed this point the c330 reprogramed the new route still bringing me to the home location.
All the trips for this summer are in the c330 I can see them in a road condition or + or - the map on screen to see start and destination route to finish. It gives list of highways to travel, roads and turns and anytime I can hit fuel or food stops to keep everyone happy and just continue on trip when done. Near where you want to camp it will pick CG's at that location on highway you are at. Next morning hit your programed destination c330 will pick up satellite, c330 will redirect you to highway and your on your way.
Its amazeing what is contained in this small unit, some say its screen is to small the voice will tell you everything you need to know while driving all the menus you just touch with tip of finger to bring up and most is done before you take off your brake. Any missed turn on your part just follow the new directions from your friendly voice, just hope your DW doesn't get jealous.

This last picture shows the whole unit and how it can be mounted, the manual covers everything I have presented and volumes more, 32 pages.
I showed this unit to people I was camping with this weekend and some are going to make a run on CW now $599, Circuit City, has for same price but someone found on Amazon for $560 so look around you may do better. For me what ever the price for size, convience, and very little effort to operate I would give it a A+ BUT than again you can always get something better for mooore money and be happy also. "007"

Very nice review!!!

There's quite a selection of GPS units on the market now so it's great to see the writeup and discussions on them. I'm sure someone else is going to jump on the special price you got.

Thanks for the the link, Ron I'am sure it will help someone, no need to pay more than you have to. Thanks Joe also this market can be confusing. I would think the 340 unit is a upgrade of the c330, has two spk's instead of one and upgraded software that the c330 can get from web site, in fact I have an e-mail from the site this morning, hows that for service. Does this unit's voice call out the street name prior to a turn or does it only tell you something like "turn left in 400 ft"?

Lee the voice tells you to make up coming turn in 1/2 mile incriments as you approach a turn, but the display at top indicates the street your on, plus if you hit the street indicated it will display all upcoming streets. "007"

007, I am becoming familiar with my recently purchased c330. You mention that campgrounds were identified, but I can't find that feature. Any suggestions?

Bill if you touch the Lodging on touch screen for the location your at the screen will display campgrounds, motels and hotels in your general area. As your traveling when its time to find a stop for night select meneu and lodging and you will get list. You can do same for fuel locations and food when your .
Have you downloaded the manual from there web site it will explain alot more for you. "007'

Found my problem. No campgrounds in my area. I thought you meant a seperate heading for campgrounds.
New question. In the Owners Manual, which I had downloaded, it mentions finding a street intersection, by touching "Intersection". Have you been able to locate this? Thanks.
