Lighted Switches Over Driver Seat
Somewhere on the forum I’ve seen a reference to lighting the currently unlit switches in the cabinet over the driver in 2018 DSDP’s, but I cannot locate the post.
I’m referring to the switches that control the awning, awning lights, under slide lighting, etc.
Is it possible to bring power to the switch banks?
Where does that power originate? Somewhere in the cabinet?
And where does the power go? Is there an unused terminal on the back of the switch bank?
Thanks in advance for your help!

See this post for a picture of the larger rocker switch for the shades, security lights, etc.
I'll be powering this from existing power that's feeding those switches. I've identified a hot wire to connect the lights too. The wires for the lights connect to terminal 9(-) and 10(+).

On the older coaches there is a lightbar on the back side of the cabinet door ... mine is an LED flexible strip. Powered from 12vdc inside the cabinet and triggered by a "pin switch".

For now I'm just going to install a switch in the unused slot (OPT SATT SYSTEM) to turn the backlights and switch illuminations on/off. If needed I'll install either a pin or magnetic switch. While parked I usually leave the cabinet door open so the on/off switch that I'm about to install will give me the opportunity to turn the lights off if needed. I'm looking to get an illuminated switch to turn the lights on/off so that the one switch will be lit in the event we need to take the dog for a walk in the middle of the night to make it easier to locate the switch for the door night shade.

On my DS I added a motion sensitive light bar that is rechargeable. It serves its purpose. Only activated at night, no switch needed. I like the idea of backlighting the panels and will add that as a future project. I also added LED indicator lights to remind me that the under slide lights are on and engine heater engaged.

I removed the two switch panels and discovered that there is not a way to illuminate the actual switch itself on our ‘18 DSDP. The labeling is etched into the mounting panel, and will allow light to pass throught the lettering, so a bit of wood carving and fabrication will result in an led strip mounted behind the panel to provide illumination. A small push button switch will turn the light strip on or off, although the electrical load will be negligible.

I would expect that to light the actual switch would require changing the switch itself to one with a light.
There is power at the switch, you could 'steal' it from the incoming power for whatever that switch operates. (if this is hot all the time you just added another source of constant power drain for the battery)
You would likely have to run a ground wire from somewhere for the light. But it would only take one wire that you could 'daisy chain' from switch to switch.

Are you trying to illuminate the switches so you can see them better or are you trying to illuminate them to indicate when they are active?

Lighted Switches Over Driver Seat
I just finished my overhead lighting project. Here is the finished product. I have a rocker switch to turn the lights on and off.
Backlight with LED tape around the edge of the cabinet and connected power to the switches for the illumination.
