98 Dutchstar 3865, the lights, both wall sconce and ceiling hallogens are not working. It's only really aggravating as I just sold the coach to a friend. Only had a short time to check but in the junction box in the bay, I do have 12 v power. Didn't have time to chase the 110 side. Even more confusing is that the wall plug, microwave and rear hallogens are working. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Check and reset the ground fault switches near the sinks and in the service bay to see if one may have tripped. There may be two or more GFI plugs in your motor home. lyledavid

I just solved that very similar problem in my trailer. Only the outlets and wall sconces in my slideout did not work. The halogen lights in my trailer are 12V and worked fine. Those outlets/lights are connected after, line side of, a GFI outlet. Resetting the GFI did nothing. Thinking the GFI was bad, I replaced it. Stiil did not work. As it turns out I found that RV manufacturers use speed connect outlets in RV's these days. These outlets have sharp splines between which the wires are pressed into. When pressed in, the spline cut through the insulation making connection with the copper wire. They work fine in a stationary structure but not very well in a moving vehicle as the conenctions work themselves loose. I found a loose Neutral in one of the outlets. Reconnected the neutral wire and all is better.
I have since replaced all of those outlets with standard outlets with screw connections.

This is a long shot, does your coach have a battery cut out switch? Monaco coaches do and if it is not turned on, the lights stay off.

Had already tried the ground fault, nogo. The wall sconces are 110, the halogens are 12v. Both operate though a paired wall switch. Since I found 12v going to slide from the bay, possible fault may be in the switches. I'll have to try that next chance I get.
