ron, when traveling the 300 miles the larger slide is locked on both ends. The smaller slide in bedroom I lock the forward one and it pulls slide in tight to wall. Have traveled this way all the time. Use to climb over bed which is a pain but found the one lock was fine. If you have wardrobe slides on pass side would lock both before pulling in bed slide. Would seem to be top heavey with TV and cabinets on top.

I've had one close call with the bedroom slide when I forgot to unlock one of the arms or a least ensure both were fully unlocked. I noticed the slide was hanging up on one side and pushed the slide button before any damage was done. Close call! I put pipe foam type insulation around each of the arms before we travel and that seems to quiet them down especially on rough roads. Upon arrival I have to remove it so I ensure they are open.
On another note, I was at Marty's also and fell in love with that DutchStar as well as the CD system. I'm working on the boss to see if there will be a return trip???

Hi Bill welcome to the club of forgetfulness.
Thanks for the tip with foam sleeves.
My wife has grown out of the cubby hole toilet rooms and split baths now wants a 1 1/2 bath as we have now the ESSEX at $570,000 split bath is out of my reach--------
Martys will have KSDP's coming in but I do not think the KS has for this year the 1 1/2.
Do like that CD.

Welcome wmelvin to newmar forum & irv2.
Have you called parts at Newmar they should be able to help.
Have you tried a Newmar dealer if they were to show you one maybe a welder could make one up for you.

we use a cord on each lock with a tag hanging down so they are readily seen .

My locks turn on automatically when I close the slide-outs

They made everything so much easier with all that auto locking slides on the newer coach's.
No need to manually lock anymore.

We have a fiver, but the same manual locks. "Slides Locked" is one item on the check list we review EVERY time we move.

DW has a set procedure for closing/locking and unlocking/opening while I am doing outside tasks.
