It was the top of the line diesel bus. Has not been in production since 2008.

Here is a link to a new 2007 and older London Aires.
As said was top of the line for many years and reintroduced in 2007.
Newmar brochure
I liked some of the older versions of models better than the 2007.

Can anyone tell me how many London Aire MHs were made in 2000?
You shure don't see many on the road.

Welcome Jim to the Newmar forum & irv2.
I would guess Newmar could answer that for you and you can consider yourself one of a few of those lucky owners.
You are not looking for help so I would have to guess your a happy LA owner.
LA 2000
Enjoy the forum and safe travels.

The London Aire is an awesome coach, but the front end profile takes a while to get used to. Gotta love the Cummins 600hp ISX power.

007 and vito.a,
I guess I'll have to contact Newmar one of these days. I was also told that this coach has a 500 hp engine, but the label on the side of the valve cover says that it's a 450 hp. I also noticed that the link to the LA 2000 that you put on your post also says that that unit has the 500 hp engine.
That unit looks almost identical to ours except for the interior. ours is a 4554
Picked this coach up in June of this year and for awhile I wasn't a happy owner as it had some "issues". Seem to have most of them worked out now and am learning a lot about it by doing searches on this forum.
Really like the way it rides and drives. Much more comfortable than any MH I've had in the past.
Thanks for the reply. I'm sure I'll have some questions for the forum members as time goes by.
Jim

Jim,you can use the contact I gave you anytime they have answered my questions on it, just tell them "007" sent you.
If you need any help just ask maybe you will find you have some company LB wise on the forum.
We always have many guests maybe your questions will draw them into being a new member of irv2.

The London Aire was out of production for a while and the original version is entirely different from the newer version.

I think they made a few 2003 models and then stopped until 2007. I think a total of 16 2007 & 2008 models were produced. We looked at a 1999 LA and was impressed, other than having fewer slided and no in motion satellite, out 2004 Essex had the same optoins. The LA's were ahead of their time.

I am lucky
I am parked close to a 2000 LA - no penguin units on the top. I guess they offered a central Air-Thermo on that unit - there is a radiator on the driver's side , mid-ship

Renden, your right. That radiator that you see midship is the central AC. The bay right in front of that is where the Aqua Hot is located.
Skipper, our coach looks just like that one except ours is the 4554, so there are some differences in the floor plan and cabinets. (Probably some other differences too that I don't know about).
