Newmar has set the MSSP for the '07 London Aire at $930,000. Apparently they will be only building a limited number in the next year. I heard about a dozen but that sounds pretty low.

At $930 grand a pop the sales numbers will be low. It's a very limited market segment that's knocking on the doors of a Prevost conversion so it's going to be a hard sell.

You gotta wonder what they all put into it that the Essex doesn't have. The Essex is a class act in itself and for the price difference the London Aire has to have more "stuff". Maybe a nuclear powered generator set?

The London Aire, top of the line is back, at that price will most likely be special order not many will show up on dealer lots. All Newmars use to be all special order but more dealers that sell them will have a few on their lots now. You can still order the coach of your dreams with a six to eight week build time.
For that price I'll take two.

Good points Mark....If I'm on the hook for 900K,I'm looking real hard at a Marathon for a few hundred thousand more....

Roger...I was told just last week more like 8-10 weeks for an 07 Essex.

I also heard only 12-15 will be built in this first re-intro year. And there will be only 1-2 dealers who have the rights to sell them. I'm afraid that much of the price is the exclusivity being built in.

LUG_NUT: I'm pretty sure the LADP also includes the TRW steering control you liked so much. With the MADP now on the Spartan K-2, how much more coach does one need? Oh yeah, I forgot, need does not enter the equation at these price points.

RE: the Essex, there are a bunch of 06 models available in dealer's stock, probably because they have been a big seller, even with a $500K + MSRP ED

Yes the LADP does have the Comfort Drive steering. I spoke to a guy that drove one from the factory to Pomona Ca. He said it was effortless to drive with it. I heard there were only going to be 4 dealers and then 3 that would be allowed to sell the LADP.

My first guess is that North Trail- Ft Meyers, Fl and Coachlight in Carthage, Mo. will be allowed to sell the LADP. IF you agree, can you suggest who ELSE might qualify? ED

HERE is a link. Marty is one of the oldest Newmar dealers, does a good volume, and was given some kind of special recognition bt Newmar not too long ago.

You would have a much better feel for the dealer's out west. I don't know of Giant, but how about the one in Morgan Hill, Ca.??? ED

When I saw the London Aire MSRP in the second proto at FMCA Pomona, I was shocked by the price. However, as far as comparing the price point to a Prevost conversion, $1M will not get you a bus with slides, typically, certainly not from Marathon or Vantare. $1M would get you a Newell quad slide though, and Newmar would be competing against the P-2000i at the London Aire price point.

As far as dealers that would be franchised to sell London Aire, I haven't seen the list. Alpine Recreation in Morgan Hill, which sold
more Newmars than Coachlight for the 2005 model
year, will NOT be selling London Aire, as they
are not an Essex dealer any longer. Giant RV,
being the number two Newmar dealer, behind North
Trail, would be a more likely London Aire dealer.
