The heading says it. I am considering updating to a 2009 full slide Essex. Is there anything that I should be aware of in this year? What about the full slide? Any problems? Anything else?

There are 20 TSB's for 2009 Essex in the COM_NET2 link.
Shows nothing for the slide for concern which would have two low toque motors.

We got the full wall slide on the 2011 King Aire. Had a couple of issues: the controller malfunctioned (according to Newmar) and broke three lower facia screws while attemping to close slide. The incident also created some exterior damage to the slide which has since been repaired and repainted. The other issue discovered was that the slide had a gap between the top of the slide and the rubber seal when opened. This required shims which Newmar installed at Essex Junction. In spite of these issues we love the extra space the full wall slide offers.

I didn't think the 2009 had the full slide. I might be wrong. This coach woudn't be close to Memphis would it with 12,000 miles on it? I was in Tunica over the holidays and the salesman wanted me to look at it, but I didn't think it was the full wall. My mistake if it was. He wanted my '06.

It is a full slide. A dealer has been sitting on this for at least four months and the slow season is about to start. I think I can cut a deal with him at the right cost with mine used as a trade in. I have the bath and a half model but the full slide adds lots of storage that I now don't have. If I can't cut a deal, I walk.

Does anyone know how I can get into the unit history on the Newmar website? I have the serial number.

If you go to COM_NET2 it will ask for coach build number or VIN# of pacific motor home. Place it in the catalog space at top of link.

Full wall slides really open things up. My concern is they are soooo heavy and the sctructure needed to sustain them in and out. Will the wall structure develope problems over time due to the massive stresses? Any more or any less than other slides? Motors to bring this in and out? Battery load? etc
They are nice though...

007 - Thanks. Next time I'll read what it says. I was looking to see if there were any problems with this particular unit, not just the service bulletins.

Batman, if you owned a Newmar the wall structure is well built.
They put double header at wall upper opening and all wall studs are 16" on center welded to base "C" channels.
The large slides will have two low torque 12V motors.
