We really regret not getting the stackable unit. In our model, the combo unit meant more counter space. However, w/two young children we are sorry not to have the stackable every trip.

As Bob has said W/D is purely a personal decision. However one of the things we like with the combo is the ability to put the load in and walk away returning any time to a finshed load. We had plenty of room to put in commercial size stand alone(or stackable) units but choose the wrinkle free LG combo unit which has been totally awesome.

Well, I made 1 big mistake, and I knew it going in. My kids were really wound up. My 21 month old had a complete meltdown. We didn't even do a test drive.

Anyway, I really like the quality of the Ventana. I also looked at a used Seneca with bunks at a different dealer. There's no comparison.

I think I might like the floorplan of the All Star with bunks, particularly since the Ventana 3945 is discontinued for 2009.

I've found a used 2007 All Star that might be a really good deal. I'm going to post a separate thread about it.
