Loose body under kitchen slide-out

DW was opening kitchen slide out when we were back from our Florida trip to find that something was stuck underneath - she stopped the operation. We removed this piece which fits under the slide......with difficulty (had to raise manually the slide inside for the piece to get unstuck)
How to put it back ???

Hi Renden,
What is the function of the offending piece?

The brush seal under slide looks OK, the piece shown has a black sealant which also shows up on brush portion under the slide they may have forgot to place screws in strip that fell off and it finally did.
Looks like you could reattach to brush seal rib and maybe place some screws with new sealant.
The pictures are hard to judge at that angle.

All I can think of is:
1. Forget screws.
2. If you can fit it in place, a good epoxy with some sealant should work.
3. If it mechanically will not go into place, this could be a trip to a service center where they have the equipment to lift the slide so working room can be obtained.

If you want some good sealant, find a glass company and get a tube of that black caulk they use. It holds. Re-attached a broken motor mount on a car that you could not by a new mount. 1 year and still holding

Contacted Newmar and they recommend raising the slide-out with a jack in order to be able to put the piece back in place - now this is something new for me
