My manual isn't too specific says 1/4>1/3 of a tank , if going where I know I'll need the gen set I'll have over 3/4's of a tank.

I was wondering the same thing.... we were traveling with the genset on due to the 90+degree weather and I was down to a bit below 1/4 tank before I found a place to fuel up. The genset kept running at that level.
fyi -- When I picked up the coach new, I drove it from the dealer home( about 100 miles) , and I had the low fuel light come on ( I wish I had caught the low fuel on delivery, I would have made them fill the tank). I drove about 30 miles with the light on until I found a station. When I filled, I found that even with the low fuel light on, there was 30 gallons in the tank.
