The toilet in our 2001 MADP is about 1-2 inches too high.

Since the throne sits on top of 4-in platform, it looks like it could be lowered.

Anyone tried this dubious mod?

Don't know if they are the same but I removed the extension from under mine. The extension had a few long screws that held it down and when removed, the toilet covered the screw holes so it looked fine. The only problem I had was getting the extension pipe out of the drain pipe. It was just a slip fit but had become really stuck over the years. Took a good crowbar and lots of twisting.

Good luck

Lower it? Funny, when we built the new place I bought the taller toidys. Getting harder to bend and stand as I get older....Ha.

Tech, if your toilet does not have a straight shot to holding tank it will have a off set pipe to tank, the reason for the raised box.
If your thinking of reducing the height of toilet itself that maybe done.
