LP Gas Line

We have a 2009 Newmar Dutchstar 4055. Last trip I discovered what looks like a LP gas line coiled up in the basement. Does anyone have one of these? What type grill do you use? Any special instructions? Thanks...

You may have a fitting for extend stay or for a LP gas grill setup by your LP tank.

I am in the process of adding a gas line for our grill to a teardrop trailer, so yes this is some what apples and oranges. However there are commonalities, safety being #1.

1) Shut off valve where is it, does it work?
2) attachment to the grill, I am using a 3/8th quick disconnect at the end of the hose and there will be a short hose on the grill with the male connector that goes into QD.
3) use yellow gas type sealing tape at joins.
4) TEST for leaks!!! Easy to do just use dish soap with some water, it will bubble up.

Here's a link on irv2 to a way to "extend" your propane tank lines....
(Best to use the yellow "gas tape" on the connectors though...)

Propane lasts a LOOOOONG time!!

What I am doing is more related to our teardrop which for a tear is large 6X10 and it is only one of a very small number with a water heater as well as the cook top. Limited space meant I wanted to have the gas point near the galley in the rear. I imported a Bullfinch gas point

as well as one of their shower points. I have to re do the gas line which was not done correctly by the builder and adding the 3/8 line to the gas point will be fairly easy. I tried to be as generic as I could in giving a reply to a situation that is not like mine with emphasis on safety.
