Our 05 DSDP model 4009's Living Room slide has stretched over the years due to the pooling of water.

Rather than replace it, any suggestions as to what we could place under the awning while we are parked that would push the water off and prevent the awning from flapping in strong winds?

Thanks!
David Gueterman

Dave,
The spring on the awning roller probably needs tightening. The manufacturer of your awning has the instructions of how to do it, but be very careful when you do.

You could try tightening the topper awning per these instructions like said be careful and maybe have some help.
They also have a awning wedge that can be placed under awning for water run off plus people have used beach balls.

I used a couple of plastic gallon milk jugs (filled with water so they don't blow out in high wind), pushed one in about a third of the way from each end. Tied a piece of rope to the handle so I could pull it out when ready to leave. Laid on their side, the jugs are the perfect fit.
