Lube the slide-out Cog Rail?

2017 Dutch Star 4369.

The slide-out cog rail is showing signs of rust. And, the rust residue is on the rubber gasket on the coach body. Should I put some lube or protectant coating on this rail? Possibly Boeshield? See Photo.

I use Boeshield T9. Works great and keeps rust off for a long time. Anything that needs lube and can rust on my RV gets a maintenance shot, ever some of the pot metal screws that sneak into the production line stop rusting with T9.

And no, I don't have anything to do with company, Boeing, or anyone connected.

No need to lube the rails but using some protectent on metal will help keep from rusting more, FLUID FILM is another one.
A good wax job of slide walls and 303 on rubber seals will help also.
