i have had this identical problem with both my toilets, intermittently....

right now, i am winterized, and they are both holding the pink just fine....

on my list to have looked at.....but would love to just fix it myself.....

Got a call from Dometic on our problem with the toilet and have come up with there are 2 problems and she is sending the parts to me to install. Numerous other Newmar owners are having the same problem so we will see if these replacement parts take care of the problem,

Did Dometic indicate why this is happening?

Dometic didn't say why we are having the problem but I shared with them a number of other less then 1 year old coaches are having this issue. Hope these parts take care of problem. Good thing it's the toilet with the door behind it in rear bath. Would have been another issue if had to pull the toilet from the floor in small mid-bath.

Hi Tom:
I'm having the same problem with my 1/2 bath toilet on our 2019 4018. What was the solution from Dometic with the new parts? What parts did they replace?
Thanks Tom,
Mike

There's a water tube that acts as a p-trap behind these toilets. Our toilet's tube was not secured high enough and water would leach-out of the stool. Had this fixed under warranty at dealership.

Thanks for the info Dizzee.
Of course its couldn't be the rear toilet with the huge "toilet access door" behind it.
I'll have to stretch before I can wiggle my way behind the 1/2 bath toilet.
Cheers,
Mike

You're welcome MikeyG. Get limbered-up! For what it's worth, I looked at the repair order and the dealership referred to the pipe as the vent pipe. The repair states that they "added a 3" tall black PVC pipe and put back together". Hope this helps you. If you need a photo, I can try to get one this Sunday when I get the rig out of storage.

3”? Got it Dizzee.
I’ll have the coach at home this weekend preparing for a trip. I’ll take a look and see what’s involved and let you know if I would need any pictures.
I’ll also compare to the rear toilet for reference, that should probably get me in the ballpark.
Thanks so much for the help.
Have a great day.
Mike

My rear toilet is not holding water.
Once the bowl fills up I hear a gurgling sound as the water recedes

Yep, that's what mine is doing in the 1/2 bath Tom.
I'll have the coach at the house tomorrow and take a look.
I'll post what I find.

Ours in 1/2 bath is doing exactly as Tom described. It will hold a level but not the normal level. Anxious to see what Mikey finds. Thanks!
