One of my main motivators in buying a MH was that it needed to be able to tow my Road Runner.

Well, I didn't even know it was back there. I did almost take out a post at the Carlisle Flying J.

I tried 2 different pumps in the Big Boy lanes, but the card reader died each time.

They sent me to the RV lane. I killed another pump before going inside. I had to leave my license and a rubbing of my credit card. I tried to leave my first born son instead, but they didn't want him.

Finally I was able to top off the tank so that we could run the generator for the weekend.

Here we are at the Fairgrounds. I paid for 2 10x30 spots, but ended up being guided to a spot much bigger than that. The first spot we tried was too steep and I wouldn't have been able to get the car off.

The second spot was in a bad rain runoff spot I was told (not that it's rained). This spot was just right.

Very nice looking Road Runner. I trying to decide between open and enclosed trailers. Do you also use a cover when going down the road?

Im in the process of trying to decide to get a car hauler trailer like yours. I'm worried about turns, does the trailer have a tendency to track directly behind the RV or does run over curbs on tight turns.Any advice would be appreciated.

You cannot use a cover with an open car trailer. It will blow off no matter how you strap it on, and before it blows off, it will destroy your paint flapping in the breeze.

I had another steel trailer that was 24' total including the tongue. I wanted light and short without the car hanging over the edge like it would with those rinky dink Uhaul trailers.

So, I got this aluminum one that is 22' total length and weighs less than 2000 pounds unloaded.

Is that stacker 24' including the tongue (wait, is there even a tongue)? Most enclosed trailers with the same inside capacity are longer than an open trailer.

My Road Runner is 19' long. I don't think it would fit in that stacker.

My trailer has a V nose. Any trailer has a pivot point, so you have to take turns wide and long.

I almost hit a couple of things on the Carlisle Fairgrounds going around corners. My wife got out and pulled some things out of the way.

On the highway, it's not a problem. Just go 55 and stay in the right lane.

That almost 28' is too much. I never would have made it to my camping spot at Carlisle.

As for the 55, well, I only have a handful of times behind the MH wheel, and only 2 times with the trailer. Once I'm more comfortable, I'll pick up the pace.

Traffic was so heavy, I wasn't interested in passing a lot of people.

How about more photo's/info of the Roadrunner (my favorite year!!).

I'm not trying to hijack the post but while we are waiting for additional suggestions, why not enjoy that great looking car.

I just got the car back from having some finishing touches done. With the munchkins with us, I barely had time to do anything.

My internet connection died while I was uploding pictures. Here are a few from Carlisle (not just my Road Runner convertible).

What octane did you run when achieving the 600+ horses?

Very nice, thanks for the photo's.

I had the engine builder keep it mild so that it could run a/c and run easily on pump gas.

I put 93 octane in it, but I'll bet it would run fine on 91 octane.
