We took our 'new' coach for a trip from Chicago to Traverse City, MI last week for the fall colors. Spectacular!
All in all we are very happy with our Mountain Aire. It is a very comfortable home-away-from-home.
As with any 'pre-owned' vehicle I figured there'd be a few things that would either go wrong or that I'd discover/notice once I got on the road (and 8 hours from the dealer)...boy, was I was right!

• When in the direct sunlight the triangular window on the driver's side fogs up. Guess I take out the window and send out for repair.
• On a cold night there was an odor from the Hydro exhaust...we switched to the heat pumps---a bit noisy, but effective. I'm guessing there's a slide seal issue somewhere.
• On smooth roads the coach was a sweet ride---on bridges, expansion joints, and rough roads...my fillings started coming loose! New front shocks?

I'm guessing that I'm not alone in thinking every time I say "hello" I need to take out my checkbook.

Like you, I am also a new coach owner... a 2006 Essex. This is very similar to your Mountain Aire (I think).

When I got my Essex in April, the coach had Hydrohot exhaust entering the basement and the living space. Here is what I know about that issue so far.

There are holes where cables and pipes enter the coach from the basement... some are well sealed and some are not. You just have to go find them and seal them with spray foam.

So far, I have found leaks in 3 areas;
1. underneath the clothes washer, which is behind and above the back end of the tanks (wet bay). I had to remove the entertainment center to get access.
2. I have a mid-coach toilet which is in its own room with a sink. Underneath that sink is a false floor. That compartment is directly above my power bay. I have attached a picture showing sunlight entering these holes. (taken with the powerbay door open).
3. Behind the powerbay, sits my inverter. Between the 2, there are some cables entering the coach. 1 cable is not sufficiently sealed.

Sealing the coach is a long term project. You just keep your eye out while you explore and work on other things.

Before both of you drive your self insane here is a suggestion for a temp repair. They sell at CW and other stores I'm sure, an exhaust kit that goes on your Hydro Hot exhaust pipe and takes the exhaust up over the roof of the coach. I've seen them built from Lowe's parts but sometime just to save $10 bucks and say you did it yourself isn't worth it. This would be a quick $100 fix until you sort out all of the leaks.

You will notice that on the 2015 DS the exhaust exits under the front wheel with the gen set. I pretty sure this is for the exact reason you gents are experiencing.

I'm not saying sealing is a bad thing as it will keep other things out like things that crawl and stuff.

Also Mike check what pressure you have in the front tires. Get the coach weighed and put the proper pressure for the weight you have on the front axle in the front tires before you change the shocks. A couple of pounds of pressure will make a difference. But to be fair with the correct pressure for my coach some roads just suck. That run to TC has some nice roads but in sections it was not so nice and our coach is only six months old.

I finally got the ride of mine straightened out with Koni shocks and Michelin tires. But some roads nothing helps.
