Hi Beacher,

is it the same WeatherPro awning, like you have on your coach? If so, has he called A&E?

Here's a link to some previous threads which may help while your waiting to call A&E.

Hi Beacher,
Let us hope this is really easy to solve. On the end of the arm with the motor there should be a set screw tightly screwed in all the way. This screws onto a flat on the roller arm. This arm runs through the awning motor. If the screw has come loose, the motor will work, spinning freely, just like what you are experiencing.

Thanks GaryKD I know the screw that they talking about that screw is in place. I think what I need to know is how to get to the spring in the tube do you know if I have to drill out the three rivets that hold the cap on the end of the tube to get to the spring? I had the motor part loose from the arm but didn't go any further

Would there be a spring if the motor puts awning out and pulls it in???
Here is a thread on some awnings and there are others in QT's #3.
