OK, I'm back again, sorry but my Dutch Star, 1999 39' according to the owners manual should have a Master Kill switch in the engine compartment to disconnect the Chassis batteries...does any one know where or if it is located. I tried to follow the battery cables in a quick look and saw no such thing....any one know where I should look?

Capt. Frank

Hi capt Frank,
Some coaches have the kill switch some do not. The switch is located so it can be reached when opening the rear access grill. Mine is on the passenger side, about 1/2 down the right side of the rear radiator.

Mine is behind the rear grill as well. On the left side towards the bottom.

In 1999 Newmar installed the Kill Switch for the engine in a passenger side cargo bay. I don't remember, but it was either the cargo bay in front of or behind the rear wheel. It is a large rotary switch. At least that is where they were on the Spartan chassis.

mine is right next to where I pour in more engine oil. It's not near my batteries at all but I have a mid-engine and stuff is laid out much differently than standard rear engine models.
