the belly of the motor home is protected from moisture and other elements with a very thin metal (maybe aluminum) covering. it has been deteriating to the point that i am getting moisture into the particle board on top of the metal. has anyone else experienced this, and how do you repair it?
i am considering maybe getting some aluminum faccia from home depot and attaching that to the metal frame work with sheet metal screws??????
thanks in advance for your advice.
tireman.

Welcome tireman to Newmar forum & irv2.
Up until 09 when we made a trip to Newmar than to FL. and return trip back to Newmar than home to MA. in the months of Jan and Feb my underside of coach was like new.
Well the salt did its job froze all lock latches caused starting problems with starter and just made a mess of the underside.
That said I did spray wash all compartment bottoms and other areas to clean up salt but wasn't good enough.
I have checked the compartment bottoms and plenty of white flacks figured could clean bottoms up and spray with some rubberized undercoat.
Your problem I guess will require some thin metal material than spraying with undercoat. I guess you could screw on metal sheet with short screws to hold and maybe add some more rug material that you can get a Walmarts.
My 03 has all metal compartments did not see partical board.
