Mice in our gen set

I have found a few mice in there and a couple of them eating the felt off of our wheel covers!! Any suggestions on what to do to keep them away? Trying not to use moth balls, so would like something organic or not so toxic!

We move every two weeks. We set mouse traps baited with peanut butter whenever the wheels aren't turning. We also leave a set trap under the kitchen sink at all times. We use one of those ultrasonic devices in the water bay. I hope this helps...

If you are stationary for long periods of time then you have to take additional measures to keep mice and other rodents out. I would place a few dryer sheets in and around the generator compartment first off. Then I would go to Lowes and get 2 boxes of moth balls (4 bags). Place one bag under each corner of the RV. You won't smell them inside the RV but they will certainly repel mice, snakes, and other critters away from the area.
