Microwave? 2002 Kountry Star

I think the microwave has went out. Where am I going to get a new one at? This one is 22 inches wide so I need one that will fit without having to cut are remove some cabinets.

Was the old one a Sharp Convection Microwave? Mine went out and I think I found the last of the available same model. I'm sure other Sharps are available. I ordered mine through Home Depot.

When our microwave/convection died, I opened the front and found a blown fuse. $2 fix. You have nothing to lose by looking.

I'm in the proccess of trying to bring a Sharp Carousel convection microwave back to life. Fuse was blown, but I've found the high voltage capacitor also shot, which will blow the fuse!

I very recently learned of another option -- a custom sized bezel. So you find and buy a microwave oven that's smaller than your opening, and then have these guys make you a custom-sized bezel to fill out the space. The bezels are made of aluminum and are available in black, white and stainless steel finish.

The company is located in Irvine, CA and this is all they do -- make custom oven bezels.

The company is Microtrim. Microwave Trim Kits - Micro-Trim, Inc. I haven't bought from them, but photos of one of their custom bezels in a Chinook look great. That guy said it cost him around $80 about 10 years ago. So I'm sure they cost more now. But it's a way to get the microwave oven you want -- and have it look professionally installed.

Microwave

Went out today and messed with it, plugged it back up and the inside lite started coming on when I opened the door but nothing else worked. Would the fuse be bad with the lite working?

As I recall, nothing works with a blown fuse. I know the digital display doesn't.
