All right, fellow New-Martians am I the only one who is annoyed at the rattle of the cover during windstorms or when running down the road?

Anybody got a fix? I have read that SOB's have latches to secure the cover - did Newmar ever do that?

Mark

Doc Mark, we had the same problem on our 05 Mountain Aire and other than stuffing something up in it that you had to remember to remove when in use...it just rattled. You might want to check out the post over in TS. It appears some of them have a latch.

Mark, I removed the outside cover and placed a piece of duct tape on the exhaust outlet where the lid was hitting on metal. Totally stopped my tattle.

Used a couple of squares of foam padding on my outside cover to stop the rattle. Didn't help. Eventually located an internal flap (Sharp convection/microwave) by removing the hood filter. Removed same and rattle went away.

I had the rattle...Newmar attempted to fix and could not. I finally had the vent thar was making the noise removed. Sharp Microwave/convection. No further problems after 3 years.
