Microwave Vent Water Leak

During a heavy rain we are experiencing water leaking out of the vent screens on the bottom of the microwave, onto the kitchen counter. I assume it's coming in through the external vent on the side of the coach. Has anyone experienced this condition and if so what was the corrective action. I have re-sealed around the vent cover on the outside of the coach to no avail. The unit is an 03 DSDP.

Does the vent cover flip open with wind and water blows into vent?
Do you have a good seal around the perimeter of the vent housing to sidewall of coach?
Older coach's had a locking tab to hold the vent flap closed when traveling down road.

The vent doesn't have the flap device, it's louvered and the perimeter of the vent has been re-sealed. That's whats confusing about this, since it's a louvered vent I would assumed it would have been designed to keep water out? But you know what they say about assume....

Do you feel any spring tension on vent flaps or are they just free wheeling?
Would seem to be something should hold them close, another assumption.

You say you sealed the outside---and you have been given good thoughts about the louvers so------

HAve you looked in the cabinets above the microwave and checked for water-----there is a lot of assuming going on and-------well leaks are funny things---stealthy critters.

The louvers are fixed, pointed down of course. I've checked the cabinets above, no water. I've taken the filters off the bottom and traced the water coming down through the microwave vent system. Guess it's time to start taking things apart and see where it leads. Thanks for the suggestions, just thought someone may have run across this issue before.
