Mixed Feelings

Selling my Dutch Star after 3 years to buy a used Prevost. I have to be honest, I love the Prevost, but its an '08 and I'm giving up 7 years age wise and getting into a coach that, although I have done my due diligence, I know very little about the systems. It's too late for advice, but I thought I'd share my insanity with my fellow IRV2 members. My coach is in the IRV2 classifieds at http://www.irv2.com/rvclassifieds/sh...?product=12902

I think many may well have mixed feelings, that's probably normal. Been there, didn't do that!

Best of luck.

May I ask what led to this decision? Were you unhappy with the Dutch Star? Floor plan, etc.?

Love my Dutch Star, Really! But, inside, outside and driving, this is a whole ‘nother level.

I would pick a 2008 Marathon Coach over a 2018 King Aire too.

And the difference is like climbing out of a Cadillac and stepping into a Rolls..
You will really like not only the fit/finish/features & driving characteristics..
The HVAC & water tank capacities are just awsum..

The downside is that they are THE "Full Meal Deal" with Dessert....in that.
They are heavy.
They are not as nimble nor as agile as most other coaches (same is true with the Newells and Foretravels)
The physical size and weight will limit you to some extent for camping options.
HOWEVER... with a toad...
"you can just go where you wanna go & do what you wanna do"!
Then return to your rubber tire'd abode to watch the sunsets... while enjoying your mixed adult beverage over ice!

Its a first world problem to be sure. If really worried and you can swing it, keep them both until you have hands on experience with the Prevost.

Awesome paint job. Only reason for me to switch would be Newell or Prevost too. (at the right price)

Wow what an awesome rig. I'd be proud to run this down the road and would love to sit under the awnings enjoying my adult beverage while passer bys drool over my rig. Excellent choice.
