To start with, I am very impressed with the speed and passion you guys have with this forum.

Someone mentioned that there are available options that don't appear on the order form. I intend on doing this right the first time, so with that, I am open to any suggestions.

Also, can you get a fisher paykel drawer type dishwasher in a MA?

What about the exterior paint; can you tweak it at all. I am digging the Brilliant Silver Essex paint- can that be put on a MA? I assume not, but does anyone know?

Anyone ever do business with Stenzel's in MN?

Does the MA have a central vac?

I am also a techy kind of person. What sort of mods can one do to a MA?

Cheers

The dishwasher I believe is available on some floorplans.
The paint colors can be anything from MA down only.
If you are really a techy, see if they will install a Pioneer AVIC Z1 navigation radio. Check it out on the Pioneer website. 30 Gig server, music library and plug and play full Bluetooth are some of the features.
Electric three zone heated floors may be available on the MADP 45'
50' power cord instead of standard 30'
An additional driver dash mounted monitor with additional rear camera.

Well there are some for your consideration.

Peter

First off which chassis are we looking for gas or DP.
You can add yourself a VAC SYSTEM sold by RV-UPGRADES a sponsor on irv2.
Dependent on what chassis look at my signature Newmar 03 for an idea of what can be added, the Workhorse 25.5 chassis, 25,500 lbs, which MA gas is on will already have some of the options I have added.
The dish washer is a option on MADP.
You can go to newmarcorp.com and get alot of info and you can print out options and pics and floor plans so you can get sick looking at them over and over again.

I don't think you'll get the Pioneer Z1. I get a stone cold deaf ear on my attempts to upgrade the EX standard D2 to the Z1. Newmar just won't hear of it from what I am experiencing.

Jeff, there's a reason for you receiving the "deaf ear" and Peter and I are part of it...
When the '07 EXDp was first "introduced" the literature and sales folks both indicated the Z1 was the "radio of choice" for the Essex.
After those pesky "bean counters" started assembling the rows of beans they decided the D2 was going to be the radio, but therein lay the problem as Peter and I (and maybe one or two more) were "ordered" already...With a little "shove" from I know my dealer and maybe Peter and I, the head bean counter finally understood the predicament and agreed reluctantly to provide Z1's to anyone that was in the pipeline at THAT time, and that MENTIONED it....Sneaky, but the way they did it...
Peter and I ended up with the Z1's and that's that....
If you're upgrading to a Z1 it will be on YOUR nickel.

I would have your dealer call the NATIONAL sales rep in Nappanee and ascertain just what is possible as far as options...
I DO know,as Peter mentions, Newmar will allow you to choose paint schemes from your model DOWN, not up.

Bob,

We were also one of the lucky ones that got the Z1!

I hope no one mis-interupted my post. The Z1 may be available at additional co$t. Probably about $1500 or so on a MADP or more. At least that on a EXDP. Bluetooth plug and play probably an additional $300 or so.

Rebels and lucky Z1 owners.... Yeah I knew of y'alls lucky break on the Z1 and the must ask to get it position Newmar bean boys took on those early orders. All courtesy of this forum!!!!
Hence, on some hope for a lucky break, I am trying to get an upgrade and all Newmar will allow so far is - go buy and install a Z1 myself and no credit for a D2 delete (or sell the standard D2 on eBay). I suspect they have a pile of them up there and are trying to get rid of them before the D2 becomes more "obsolete."
Funny, the retail price of a Z1 is now at the same price the D2 WAS when Rebels et. al. ordered their EXs in the Spring! So it should not be a bean thing anymore...
