Motion Activated Porch Light
Has anyone installed a Motion Activated Porch Light on a Dutch Star. I was thinking of this one..https://www.amazon.com/MG1000-450-Ex...4DVD2P9VXZFA0N...But not sure if I would have to drill new holes to mount it.

You may have to drill some koles but as long as old ones are covered and sealed to prevent water entry you should be OK, put a bead of sealant along the top of light to wall to protect the wiring behind light.

We have this exact light (although we're a SOB) & love it. Do just what 007 states & you won't have any problems - that's what we did. The light can either be solid on, motion sensor on (where I set it 99% of the time) or off, depending on how many times you flip the switch for it. The sensor is adjustable so it isn't coming on every time some furry little night critter passes through your campsite, which would be bothersome for your neighbor. The light is very bright too.

P.S. That's a good price on Amazon. We got ours 4 years ago at an RV show & paid $80.

This is the one I used on my previous coach Starlights SL-1000 Smart Light It worked great and I could adjust the bulb so it didn't bother my neighbors.

We had that Starlights one on the coach before this one the OP asked about. Even though our coach is housed under an RV port that protects it from UV, after just 3 years, the 2 lenses in the upper corners of the Starlights got so brittle they crumbled at the slightest touch when I was inspecting the seal during the yearly roof inspection we do. I can say that, after 4 years, the little round lens on the MG is strong & intact.
Maybe the lens materials of 7+ years ago was inferior, but an observation none-the-less.
Also noted the price on the Starlights sure came down! I also bought that one at an RV show in 2010 & paid nearly $100 for it then.

At least one of the two existing holes should line up, and maybe both. I would get some of that super strong double sided tape from Lowe’s or HD and put a stop on the back as well. Then caulk the edges as 007 suggested.

They did have a problem with the two small lens you're referring to. They improved the material they were using and sent them out as free replacements. They were very simple to switch out, and I didn't have any further problem.

Thanks everyone for your input. I did some research on both lights and it seems like the MG is the better of the 2. I found the drawing for the hole spacing, there are 4. I'll have to take my old light off and see what has to be done.

The light shown in the Amazon link is the newer version of the original Starlight SL1000. I have two of the originals and they are still going strong. The real early one's IR windows are better than the later versions, but they now provide spare lenses just in case. There should be any re-drilling as they were designed to be a direct screw-in replace formthenclassic fixture.. mine was.
Both of these companies were started by Greg Wilson who is the design engineer on all the products. Starlights was apparently sold to his son, but he's continuing on with a new line of LED lamps and fixtures with the new company. He has a booth in Quartzsite for the January show.
Here's the company website: https://rvledlites.com/about/

Just got mine from Amazon. Will install on my Bay Star in the next week or so. Sadly, the OEM light is not bright enough or I would not waste my time.

Maybe you can drill new holes in the base of the light to match the holes in the coach.
