Motorcoach Insurance

I had Allied/Nationwide insurance on my other RV but they won't insure any Rv over $250,000. I contacted BlueSky and they said the same thing. can anyone recommend a good Rv Insurance Company. Brown & Brown of Kentucky will do it but I never heard of them.

I have The Hartford through AARP. The went with agreed value on mine. Looks like I'll be changing home insurance to them also and save another $1,000 a year.

We were with Blue Sky for our gasser. When we got our DS they would not cover us due to coach value. We got quotes from www.rvins.com and the Ed Tobin Agency (Lou Dimola) and ended up with Progressive with Tobin Agency. If you do agreed value, some companies are different. With Progressive if you total the coach, they will pay agreed value and you can walk away if you want to. With National Interstate, they will pay agreed value, but you must buy a new coach.

Motorcoach Insurance

Give Ed Tobin agency in NJ a call. I have been with them since day one on our new coach In 2014. Lou got us National Intrastate, very pleased with the cost and coverage.

Check out National General Insurance (used to be GMAC Insurance).

Thanks everyone for your input. So far National General is the one I will likely go with.

Try the folks at FMCA. As I was getting quotes for future purchase planning they were by far the lowest that I found.

We got our NG policy from Miller Insurance who are recommended by many on IRV2. Far below quote from Progressive for identical coverage.

Brown & Brown is just a large agency(broker) who uses various companies to offer the broadest range of coverage options to it's customers. The actual COMPANY that you have insurance with will be determined by which of the offers from B&B that you accept, if more than one is offered.

Explorer RV Insurance

I shopped around quite a bit last Fall. We are fulltimers and wanted to have an umbrella liability policy to add additional liability coverage on top of our motorhome and car. Some of the companies couldn't do that. As I remember, Hartford / AARP could not.

We got excellent pricing and very responsive customer service through:
Stacie A. Price
Specialty Agent
Explorer RV
PO Box 568
Richfield, OH 44286
888-774-6778
stacie.price@explorerrv.com
RV Insurance

We bought both policies through Stacie. The motorhome is insured by Triumphe Casualty CO and the car through National Interstate. I don't remember who the umbrella is through. We got a discount on the motorhome policy from being a member of Escapees.

Yes, that's correct, I found that out yesterday. They came back with National General with about half the cost of Progressive. So I think I'll go with them.

I had National General, went to The Hartford and saved $1,300 a year. Now still having trouble with National General anyway. Had a minor fender bender Sept '15. (First chargeable since HS and I'll be 70 in Jan). Wife complained about neck pain so they opened a claim. This forced Medicare to become secondary to National General. But when we changed policies in March of this year National NEVER changed the Medicare records. Now my DW has died and Medicare is rejecting and re-figuring all claims since Jan. due to it.
Yep, I know, just a paperwork error but it's taken me over two months, hopefully, get it straightened out.

Sorry to hear that Mr. D. National General quoted me a price 0f $1,305 or $1,173 if paid in full for the year. Progressive was $2,231.

We had USAA for the last 30 years. Unfortunately, they are no longer insuring RVs.
I initially insured our new motor home with Progressive.

I just did a comparison quote with National General and it is quite a bit more than my current Progressive policy.
