Anyone out there with a 2008 King Air? I need to confirm the height of the hitch receiver on the K3 chassis? My tow plate installer wants to make sure I get the right drop receiver (if I need one at all).

Also, what kind of tow wiring plug does Newmar install? Ditto for making sure that he's got the right wiring adapters.

Thanks!

joe

Newmar uses the standard 7 way flat blade receptacle.

Respectfully, it's a 7 pin ROUND connection isn't it Dirk?

That's what was on my '07 EXDP and the LADB anyway.....

That's correct Joe.... I spoke with Dirk on the phone and clarified what he meant.

Joe,
Drop receivers are a stock item from Blue Ox if you can't find out ahead of time. I've also seen them in stock at RV dealers.

I tow a 97 Honda CRV and to get the tow bar level I had to use an 8" drop receiver.

Umm, yeah, but that doesn't help unless I know the height of your tow bar pins (on your base plate). Which would then tell us what the height is of your hitch receiver. Yours is a K2 chassis, right?

Keep in mind that the drop may hit your mud flap when going over various terrains(actually vice versa the flap will hit the drop). If that happens, in lieu of a drop an extension(6" or whatever) may suffice enough drop. Would wait until you get everything ready to go and then puchase necessary drop (there are adjustable drops available), etc. available most anywhere.

Joe,
Since your coach is at Newmar why don't you just call and ask someone to walk out and measure it. I would think that would be the surefire answer.
